With deep emotion, Pope John Paul II came to Hiroshima as a pilgrim of peace and made an appeal for peace from Hiroshima on February 25, 1981. <\/p>\n

30 years on, let us continue to pray with him for peace.\n<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

To remember the past is to commit oneself to the future.<\/h2>\n

To those who believe in God, I say: <\/p>\n

let us be strong in his strength that infinitely surpasses our own;<\/p>\n

let us be united in the knowledge that he calls us to unity; <\/p>\n
